    Der AKU Pilgrim DS Stiefel vom italienischen Wander- und Trekkingschuhspezialisten ist ein sehr fester und stabiler taktischer Einsatzstiefel, der sich speziell für anspruchsvolle und schnelle Anstiege eignet.  Das anatomisch geformte Midsole-System des AKU Trekkingstiefel Pilgrim DS bietet eine sehr gute Stoßdämpfung und die sehr abriebfeste Vibram® Fourà PU Sohle maximale Stabilität und Grip auf langen Touren, auch im schwierigen Gelände. Der hochgezogene und umlaufende Geröllschutz schützt die Füße und die Zehen, das Obermaterial vor Abnutzung und stabilisiert die Schuhform. Das Obermaterial besteht aus sehr widerstandfähigen 3D Nylon Gewebe AIR 8000®. AIR 8000® ist eine von der Firma AKU entwickelte Materialtechnologie, die Funktionsschuhen eine optimierte Atmungsaktivität und schnell trocknende Materialeigenschaften verleiht. Durch den Einsatz von stark Wasserdampf durchlässigen Funktionsgeweben verfügen Schuhe mit AIR 8000® über ein bis zu 11 Mal schnelleres Feuchtigkeitsmanagement als vergleichbare Modelle aus schnell trocknenden Materialien.
    Das Einsatzgebiet der DS Version sind überwiegend Wüsten oder schweißtreibende Trekking- und Arbeitstouren in heißen Gegenden.
