AKU SPIDER II

Spider boots were originally developed for the US Navy SEALs and Green Berets operators - Tier 1 special operations units where top quality and highest performance are required. The redesigned Spider II model is an advanced, mid-cut multi-purpose shoe that perfectly combines high breathability with exceptional support, stability and shock absorption.

Designed as a multi-purpose boot, Spider IIs are very versatile and practical in different areas during spring, summer and fall. Thanks to their well-thought-out design and high level of comfort, they are also suitable for military applications, outdoor use and everyday use.

The shoes are made from AKU-designed AIR8000® waterproof textiles, rubber and high-quality polymers in a matte, non-reflective color palette. The shoes use several modern technologies and patented solutions. The technology includes the Vibram® Spider sole, the die-cut EVA midsole, the custom-fitting IMS footbed and the Elica Natural Stride System.

The AIR8000® system increases breathability by 11 times compared to similar textiles used in comparable boots. Even 20 years after its introduction, AIR8000® is still one of the most advanced technologies, providing exceptional breathability in footwear. Additional polyurethane film heat treatment increases durability and minimizes moisture absorption.

The Vibram® Spider sole is injection-molded in high quality rubber with a balanced grip that offers optimal performance in all terrains and situations that require extreme grip and total comfort. The Elica Natural Stride System applied in the construction is an anatomical outsole that replicates the natural shape of the foot.

The die-cut EVA midsole provides foot stabilization and exceptional fit for the best comfort during prolonged use. The customized IMS technology has been applied to the footbed to reinforce the connection between the sole and the midsole and to provide optimal shock absorption and stabilization for the best possible comfort in extreme situations.

A newly designed quick lacing system offers an easy and quick way to lace up the boots. The materials used and the reinforced lance hole construction provide high wear resistance and durability of the system.

Built-in materials, technologies and technical solutions make Spider II very versatile, lightweight and durable shoes for outdoor military applications and everyday use in the field.
