Direct Action Backpack DRAGON EGG® MKII

The Dragon Egg MK II backpack from Polish company Direct Action offers a modern design, high-quality materials, and excellent craftsmanship. With a 25-liter capacity, it's suitable for most overnight activities, and its capacity can be further increased using the external straps and loops. Available in olive green or camouflage, it can be used as an assault pack, while for hiking or as an EDC (Every Day Carry) there are several single- or two-tone designs to suit every user's taste. For an optimal balance between weight and durability, the backpack is constructed from 500D Cordura nylon and equipped with high-quality YKK zippers and Duraflex or WooJin plastic buckles.

The heart of the backpack is the padded back, reinforced with plastic panels, as well as the shoulder and hip straps. The back padding utilizes the Combat Vent System—a pair of vertical strips of molded foam covered with mesh. The foam is tapered and combined with a central channel between the pads to ensure back ventilation. The shoulder straps are anatomically shaped and generously padded with 3D mesh. They feature eyelets for the hydration system tube, plastic D-rings, and a height-adjustable sternum strap. All straps, including the shoulder straps, feature a Fastex buckle for quick release.

Under the plastic back reinforcement there is a pocket with a padded compartment in which you can store a laptop up to 15" or a radio, for example.

The main compartment of the backpack includes a hydration pack compartment with a loop for attachment and a zippered mesh pocket. The outlet for the Camelback hose is located on the top of the backpack, midway between the shoulder straps. Also on the top are four plastic D-rings and a knitted paracord carry handle between the two middle rings.

The front compartment of the backpack features an organizer with multiple compartments and flat pockets for maps, writing utensils, a radio, medical supplies, tools, etc. Opposite the organizer is another zippered mesh pocket.

Access to all three compartments of the backpack is via a two-way YKK zipper.

On the front of the pack there is a panel with laser-cut PALS/MOLLE webbing for attaching compatible holsters, a 10 x 5 cm hook and loop panel for attaching hook and loop patches, the Direct Action logo and a soft fleece-lined zippered pocket for storing glasses, phones or other small, scratch-sensitive items.

The sides of the pack feature a total of four compression straps, two vertical straps with woven eyelets for attaching carabiners, and two pockets for storing a bottle or thermos. The pockets can also accommodate a 1-liter Nalgene bottle or a classic US Canteen, and thanks to a clever elastic webbing design, they adhere to the pack when not in use. PALS/MOLLE-compatible pouches can also be attached if necessary.

The bottom of the backpack has drainage holes and four fabric loops with two fixed straps with Fastex buckle for attaching a sleeping bag, sleeping mat, etc.
