Magpul's Explorer XL goggles combine high-quality materials and excellent protection with a casual style and low-profile look. The design integrates low-profile temples with a low-profile frame and impact-resistant lenses for a perfect blend of looks and eye protection. The Explorer XL is best suited for medium to large faces or for users who prefer generously sized goggles.
Reinforced frames and temples are injection-molded from thermoplastic TR90NZZ and anatomically shaped to improve comfort in everyday wear. The material used makes the glasses light yet extremely durable. Additional rubber elements in the nose and temple area significantly increase comfort.
The lenses are extruded from shatterproof polycarbonate, cut and thermally formed. The lenses are then polarized and treated with a scratch-resistant and anti-reflective hard coating to increase resistance to scratches and surface damage. An additional oleophobic treatment guarantees protection against liquids and chemicals. Although the lenses are not Z87.1 certified due to their shape, they are still made from the same shatterproof polycarbonate. They offer 100% UVA and UVB protection with distortion-free clarity. The bronze-tinted lenses with gold mirror coating ensure optimal light transmission, absorb colors evenly for correct color perception and prevent reflections.
