The Spitfire 1x AR Prism Scope from Vortex was designed as an optimal solution for the AR15 / AR10 platform, but also fits perfectly with any other type of firearm that requires a high line of sight. The AAA battery compartment is integrated into the base - this means there is no external cover that can be easily damaged and the base itself is stable.

The main advantage of the 1x prism scope is the glass-etched DRT (Dual Ring Tactical) reticle, which can be used with or without illumination - this means that the optic is always ready for use, even when the power source is empty. Another advantage is that this type of optic is one of the best solutions for users who want the quick handling characteristics of a red dot sight, but suffer from starburst effects caused by astigmatism - the prism scope eliminates this problem completely. The lenses can be covered by flip caps.

The DRT with double ring design draws the eye immediately to the center of the reticle for quick acquisition of close targets. The fine dot in the center provides a high level of precision for long-range shots.
