Collection: Lanyards

A lanyard is a connector used for securing or positioning. It is often used in industrial climbing applications or as additional security in tactical operations. Lanyards are available in different lengths and equipped with carabiners and can cushion falls or stabilize the climber.

The lifespan of climbing equipment depends on use and care. Climbing harnesses and lanyards should be replaced when visible damage or after intensive use, usually every 5-10 years. Carabiners should be replaced when there are signs of cracks or other damage.

A harness is the primary safety device and is worn around the waist and legs, while a lanyard is a connector and is used for positioning or additional safety. Lanyards are often used in combination with harnesses, e.g. when working at height or in tactical operations.
