Oakley has developed laser eye protection in collaboration with the US Army Special Operations Command and the Naval Special Warfare Dev.Group (DEVGRU), formerly SEAL TEAM 6 (Special Forces Maritime Warfare).

This protection has become essential with the ever-increasing use of tactical battlefield lasers.

LASER characteristics: optical density of 4.0 minimum, wavelengths between 820nm and 850nm.

Optical density measured in both eye positions with an IPD of 64nm.

Optical performance, refractive power, astigmatism, and optical clarity meet or exceed ANSI Z87.1-1989 requirements. Meets ANSI Z80.3-2001 requirements.

Impact resistance: Equal to or exceeds ANSI Z87.1 requirements for high impact velocity and high mass impact.

Laser lens discs are interchangeable.

As durable and scratch-resistant as all other SI-Frame lenses. A-Frame lenses also feature an anti-fog coating.

A-Frame Google Laser lens, optimized for better comfort in combat helmets, thanks to a lower goggle profile.
