The Softie 18 Antarctica is the ideal sleeping bag for expeditions in extreme conditions and the coldest temperatures. Staying warm and dry is a top priority in extreme conditions. The Softie® Premier filling combines the benefits of natural down with the durability of synthetic fiber. Superfine yarns are bonded with special resins to create a luxurious down feel. This ensures that the synthetic fiber meets the highest standards. The wind- and water-resistant Paratex Steelplate outer material and the Softie® Premier filling make the sleeping bag insensitive to moisture. To accelerate the warming of the sleeping bag, an additional layer of Reflectatherm is sewn in. Reflectatherm is a metallized, highly breathable fabric that is sewn between the inner fabric and the Softie® Premier filling. It reflects the heat radiation emitted by the body, thus achieving up to 15% better heat retention.
